Veronica was born in Argentina and has been living in the United States since 1998. Veronica serves as an English/Spanish translator and interpreter and she is also the founder of, and international coordinator for, Surro Conexion in the United States. While helping a close friend navigate her first surrogacy process in the United States more than ten years ago, Veronica came to understand and appreciate the incredible satisfaction that couples and individuals realize by creating a family through surrogacy. Since that time, Veronica has immersed herself in this field and has provided invaluable assistance to dozens of international Intended Parents from Latin America and Spain, including through such services as real-time interpretations during medical and legal consultations, and translations of Direct Agreements, interviews, forms and a multitude of other critical documentation. Veronica assists International Intended Parents during each step of the process. Within Surro Conexion, Veronica is the connection between these Intended Parents and the Agencies, doctors and attorneys.
Ricardo Lucas Rodriguez
Ricardo obtained his PHD in Chemistry and has served on the faculty of the University of Seville, Paris XI University in France and Oxford University in England. In 2006, Ricardo and his husband decided to fulfill their dream of beginning a family through surrogacy. Ricardo’s first son was born in Illinois in 2009, and in the year 2013 the same wonderful surrogate gave birth to Ricardo’s twins. Ricardo is co-founder of the association SON NUESTROS HIJOS (“They Are Our Children”), an organization established in Spain for families created through surrogacy. Ricardo has been extremely active in the fight for the rights of children of same sex couples born via surrogacy, and was instrumental in bringing an end to the former policy of the Spanish government of not recognizing these children as official citizens of Spain. In the past years Ricardo has specialized in the field of Surrogacy by helping and orienting countless couples and individuals of all backgrounds and orientations, by consulting with these intended parents from the beginning of their surrogacy process to the end. Within Surro Conexion, Ricardo guides and supports the intended parents at the beginning of the process.
Ruth is a licensed attorney in Argentina, and has worked both with internationally recognized law firms and as an independent practitioner. Ruth has two children that were born through surrogacy, the oldest of which was born in California in 2003 and the youngest of which was born in Chicago, IL in 2013. Following the birth of her first child, Ruth dedicated herself to surrogacy, becoming a consultant for dozens of couples and individuals from all backgrounds and orientations, and has also consulted for international surrogacy agencies, fertility centers and clinics as well as international and national media and academic institutions. Ruth is the co-founder of UN HIJO ES POSIBLE, the first independent website directed at international Intended Parents that provides holistic, unbiased information in the Spanish language about surrogacy in the United States. UN HIJO ES POSIBLE was founded in 2007 and has thousands of visitors from around the world. Within Surro Conexion, Ruth guides and supports the IPs at the beginning of the process.
